Budapest

We spent last weekend with Hanh in Budapest. It was wonderful. It felt great to go on a little break (even if it wasn't to the beach). AND, we even had a babysitter on Saturday night so we went out to dinner. Tommy really likes Hanh's dog, Boston, and spent a lot of the weekend winding up the already totally neurotic border collie. The travel days were long, even though it's just a two hour flight, and the other horrible part of the trip was Lizzie's refusal to sleep. She was awful, and Hanh lives in a gorgeous, rather empty flat with really high ceilings and sound roars through. So, if, say, Boston barked or Eli said something to me in a loud whisper, she woke up. I really love to travel with Eli, but frankly, the jury is out on the other two members of my family. We loved seeing Hanh and are so grateful for her hospitality. She was exceptional at hosting a high-energy three-year-old and overtired baby.

Pictures soon.
